Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital is a foundation partner of the Camperdown Health, Education and Research Precinct (CHERP), one of the largest and most comprehensive health and education precincts in Greater Sydney, that includes the University of Sydney, major education and research institutions and supporting local industries.
The key objective of the CHERP is to build upon the existing health, education and research strengths of these stakeholders to create an area of international standing, with a diverse and engaging public realm.
RPA is also an anchor institution of Tech Central. As the future focal point of Sydney’s innovation and technology community, Tech Central will create a vibrant innovation and technology precinct in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, with strong links to international markets, Greater Sydney and the rest of NSW.
Connection between the RPA Campus and broader CHERP will foster growth and economic development, innovation and partnership between some of Australia’s leading institutions and industry. Therefore, the RPA Redevelopment is critical to the progress and development of the CHERP and its contribution to the broader vision and objectives of the Tech Central District.
