Early and enabling works

Design excellence

Planning approval

The first critical stage in the development of hospitals and health facilities is clinical services planning.

During this stage, the Local Health District (LHD) creates a plan to meet the health services needs of their local community, and considers the other clinical networks and relationships with nearby hospitals and health facilities.

Project delivery

The NSW Government is investing $750 million in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to deliver a new hospital building and the refurbishment of existing spaces.
