Construction activities for the RPA Hospital Redevelopment are ongoing and may temporarily impact road access surrounding the hospital campus, including to the RPA loading dock and pick up zones.

Refer below for details of current and upcoming impacts resulting from project works.

Changes to road access during construction works

Asphalt rectification works are scheduled for Saturday 10 May 2025 along Johns Hopkins Drive and the corner of Lambie Dew Drive, between 7am and 2pm (weather permitting). These works were rescheduled from Thursday 1 and Friday 2 May 2025 due to inclement weather. Road access will be maintained under traffic control. Refer to the work notice for further details.

Works along the Missenden Road footpath to support in-ground infrastructure installation for the new hospital are progressing and due for completion by the end of May 2025. Temporary pedestrian diversions remain in place near the Emergency Department drop-off, with no expected vehicle diversions. Refer to the work notice for further details.

Approved out of hours activity will support the delivery of construction equipment on the morning of Tuesday 13 May 2025. Trucks and trailers will access the construction site under traffic control via Missenden Road and Johns Hopkins Drive between 4am and 6am. Unloading of machinery and equipment will begin from 7am as per with approved construction hours. These works may generate minor noise from vehicle movements and equipment unloading.

Temporary access impacts to Hospital Loading Docks Bay 3 and Bay 4 are currently in place as part of ongoing construction works along Lambie Dew Drive.

Logistics Hub

A Logistics Hub has been established on the Western Campus and accepts all small and non-palletised supply deliveries via couriers. Access the site via a boom gate on Salisbury Road. Staff at the Logistics Hub will take delivery of goods and distribute them to relevant departments/areas across the hospital.

Logistics Hub address: Salisbury Road via Missenden Road, Camperdown

Opening hours: 7am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
